Comfort Cuisine
Delivering care one meal at a time.
Comfort Cuisine is a compassionate and comprehensive meal delivery pilot program designed exclusively for cancer patients and their devoted caregivers. Nutrition plays a crucial role in the well-being and recovery of individuals undergoing cancer treatment. Our mission is to make nourishing meals easy and accessible while empowering our patients with essential nutrition education to support their journey toward healing.
How it works
Four Weeks of Culinary Comfort: We offer a four-week program, providing the patient and one caregiver with a variety of pre-made, delicious meals delivered directly to their doorstep. This relieves the burden of meal preparation, allowing patients and caregivers to focus on what matters most – recovery and quality time together. Patients can receive meals 4 weeks in a row, or space out the timing of their deliveries to offer more flexibility. One caregiver of the identified patient may also receive meals through this pilot program.
Making Meals Accessible to Patients in Need: Patients with a cancer diagnosis who identify as low-income and/or food-insecure and are cared for by one of our participating practices are eligible to join the program.
Personalized Menu Options: Recognizing that each individual’s nutritional needs may differ, our program allows patients to choose what meals they would like to receive each week. Our meals are supplied by Mom’s Meals. Whether dealing with specific dietary restrictions, taste preferences, texture considerations, or specific nutritional requirements, Mom’s Meals offers a wide range of options to choose from.
Nutrition Education: In addition to our meal delivery, Comfort Cuisine has created a set of nutritional educational materials to empower recipients with the knowledge to make informed dietary choices that complement their treatment plans.
